Friends
As I stand here and see
You have always been with me
From times of good and bad
from being happy to being sad.
It is you who has given me peace
allowed my mind to be at ease
Give me courage and support
and all the other qualities that you have brought.
I’ll remember you for kindness and consideration
and for your loving observation
There have been times I have decided to call it a day
But it is you who taught me to fight it all the way
From each other we can live and learn
For friendship like this all must yearn
You are thoughtful and kind
allowing me to have peace of mind
